Adding CASE Platforms as a co-sponsor to Zerodha Mutual Fund

I am excited to share that we have received the regulator’s approval to add CASE Platforms as a co-sponsor to Zerodha Mutual Fund.

In 2023, Zerodha Broking Limited (Zerodha) and CASE Platforms Private Limited (previously known as Smallcase Technologies Private Limited) came together to set up Zerodha Fund House, a new-age Asset Management Company. Both these entities have been working for over a decade towards the same goal of enabling more Indians to participate in capital markets. Building a fund house together as a joint venture was a natural next step. Zerodha brought its experience of operating retail platforms at scale, and smallcase brought its experience of building innovative investment products.

Zerodha Fund House shares the belief system both its co-sponsors have always built with. Zerodha has always believed that investors should not be sold to, and smallcase/CASE that an investment product should be simple and transparent enough that you know exactly what you own and why. And both have only ever built digital-first user experiences. Zerodha Fund House is all of that as a digital-native fund house: simple and transparent products with only direct plans.

That approach shows up in who invests in our funds. More than 65% of our investors come from Tier 2, Tier 3 towns and beyond, which are traditionally underserved, and 12% are investing in mutual funds for the first time.

CASE Platforms brings deep expertise in building investment products, and a close view of how investors access these products. Both of these have shaped a lot of what we have built here. We’re delighted to have them as a co-sponsor along with Zerodha. This partnership will further strengthen our commitment to keep investing simple.
